Using Evidence-Based Approaches To Strengthen Connection

At the center of our work is a focus on helping people feel more understood, more connected, and more at ease within themselves and their relationships. While each therapist brings their own strengths and areas of focus, the shared foundation is an understanding that many struggles, whether anxiety, depression, or ADHD, are rooted in how we relate to ourselves and others.
This work often includes looking at how stress, worry, and emotional overwhelm show up not just during the day, but at night when the mind has a harder time settling. Together, the work focuses on building insight, strengthening emotional regulation, and supporting meaningful change in day-to-day life.
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
CBT builds awareness around the thoughts and beliefs that shape how we feel and act. Often rooted in early experiences, these patterns can subtly affect self-worth and how we relate to others. In our work together, we gently challenge self-critical thinking, expand emotional flexibility, and nurture a more grounded sense of security in relationships.
DBT provides tools to help you navigate intense emotions, strengthen relationships, and reduce reactive behaviors. Through skills like emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness, you can begin responding to life’s challenges with greater calm and intention.
ACT is about learning to make room for difficult emotions rather than fighting against them. Grounded in values and present-moment awareness, this approach supports you in moving toward the life and connections you want — even when fear, uncertainty, or discomfort gets in the way.
Sleep therapy works by identifying the habits, thought patterns, and behaviors that interfere with rest. Using evidence-based strategies and personalized guidance, you can establish a more consistent sleep routine, find it easier to fall and stay asleep, and wake up feeling genuinely restored.
Supportive therapy provides a warm, open space to be heard, process what you’re going through, and feel less alone in it. With consistent encouragement and guidance, this approach strengthens your ability to cope, builds self-confidence, and helps you navigate life’s inevitable challenges with greater ease.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during my first session at KLS Collective?

Your first session with your KLS Collective therapist is a chance for you to get to know one another. They’ll ask questions about your goals with therapy and any concerns or questions you might have. Going forward from your first session, your therapist will be able to cater each session to your specific needs.

Do you accept MVP Health Care insurance?

Yes. We are an in-network provider with MVP Health Care, which can help reduce out-of-pocket costs depending on your plan. We are also in-network with CDPHP, Aetna, and Fidelis insurance providers. Our rates vary based on session type and length. Additionally, we offer flexible self-pay options and a sliding scale when needed.

Does MVP Health Care insurance cover online therapy?

Many MVP Health Care plans do include coverage for virtual therapy. However, that coverage is going to vary based on your specific plan, so we recommend checking directly with MVP to understand your benefits. Sliding-scale options are available if you are paying for therapy sessions out of pocket.

Do you offer in-person therapy?

No. We offer online therapy sessions and do not provide any in-person sessions.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?
It’s normal to wonder if therapy is the right fit for you. However, therapy can truly benefit anyone who is looking to improve their mental health, learn more about who they are, and/or want to learn how to cope with all the challenges life can throw our way. If you have any questions, contact us and we’re more than happy to help.
What is the cancellation policy for your sessions?

We ask that you please provide us with 24 hours’ notice for any therapy session cancellations. If your cancellation is less than 24 hours from your appointment, or if you miss an appointment, you may be charged a fee.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes, all sessions with therapists at KLS Collective Group are completely confidential. With this in mind, we adhere to strict privacy and confidentiality guidelines in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

What technology do I need to attend a session?

Since all of our therapy sessions are virtual, all you’ll need is your computer or tablet. Please make sure they have a working camera and microphone, as well as a stable internet connection. To protect your privacy, we always use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.

Do I need a referral from my primary care doctor to see a therapist?

Whether or not you need a referral from your primary care doctor to see a KLS Collective therapist is going to depend on your specific MVP Health Care plan. It’s best to contact your insurance provider (the number can be found on the back of your insurance card) to find out if your therapy sessions require a referral.

How do I find out my deductible and whether it's been met?

To find out if your MVP Health Care deductible has been met, or to determine what exactly your deductible is, we suggest contacting your insurance directly. They’ll be able to provide you with those specific details related to your plan.

What MVP Health Care plans do you accept?

At KLS Collective, we accept all MVP Health Care plans. But if you have any questions about your specific benefits, please feel free to contact your insurance provider directly or contact us. Our team is always happy to help.

Will you bill MVP directly, or do I pay and get reimbursed?

At KLS Collective, we’ll handle all the billing directly with MVP Health Care. That way you don’t need to worry about submitting any claims. That being said, you might have a copay (depending on your plan), in which case we’ll bill you after each therapy session.
