Using Evidence-Based Approaches To Strengthen Connection

At the center of our work is a focus on helping people feel more understood, more connected, and more at ease within themselves and their relationships. While each therapist brings their own strengths and areas of focus, the shared foundation is an understanding that many struggles, whether anxiety, depression, or ADHD, are rooted in how we relate to ourselves and others.

This work often includes looking at how stress, worry, and emotional overwhelm show up not just during the day, but at night when the mind has a harder time settling. Together, the work focuses on building insight, strengthening emotional regulation, and supporting meaningful change in day-to-day life.
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
CBT shines a light on the thought patterns and core beliefs that drive how we feel and behave in life. These patterns can develop early in life and can quietly shape our self-image and relationships over time. Together, we’ll explore and reframe unhelpful thinking, develop greater emotional range, and strengthen a more secure foundation in how you connect with yourself and others.
DBT can equip you with practical skills to handle overwhelming emotions, improve how you relate to others, and slow down your impulsive reactions. By focusing on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness, you’ll be able to develop the tools to meet difficult moments with feelings of steadiness and purpose.
ACT invites you to stop struggling against uncomfortable feelings and start moving alongside them. Guided by your personal values and a deepened sense of awareness, this approach can help you take meaningful steps toward the life and relationships that matter most (even when fear or pain shows up along the way).
Sleep therapy takes a close look at the routines, thoughts, and behaviors that stand between you and a good night’s rest. Through targeted techniques with your therapist, you’ll be able to develop much healthier sleep habits, spend less time lying awake, and wake up feeling rested and ready for the day.
Supportive therapy creates a safe, consistent space where you can speak freely, work through the feelings that are weighing on you, and feel genuinely supported. Through compassionate guidance with your therapist, this approach helps you expand your resilience and trust yourself more.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during my first session at KLS Collective?

Your first session with your KLS Collective therapist is a chance for you to get to know one another. They’ll ask questions about your goals with therapy and any concerns or questions you might have. Going forward from your first session, your therapist will be able to cater each session to your specific needs.

Do you accept CDPHP insurance?

Yes, we do. We are in-network with CDPHP insurance, which means it can help lower the out-of-pocket costs depending on your specific plan. We are also in-network with MVP Health Care, Aetna, and Fidelis insurance providers. Our rates are going to vary based on session type and length. Additionally, we offer flexible self-pay options and a sliding scale when needed.

Does CDPHP cover online therapy?

Yes, many CDPHP insurance plans do cover virtual therapy with KLS Collective. It’s important to note this can depend on your specific plan. Contact CDPHP directly to learn more about your benefits. Also, we do offer sliding-scale options if you end up paying for your therapy out of pocket.

Do you offer in-person therapy?

No. We offer online therapy sessions and do not provide any in-person sessions.

Is therapy the right choice for me?

Wondering whether therapy is a good fit is completely understandable. The truth is, therapy can be valuable for anyone looking to strengthen their mental wellbeing, deepen their self-understanding, or develop healthier ways of handling whatever life brings. If you’re still unsure, reach out to us and we’re happy to talk it through with you.

What is your cancellation policy?

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel a session. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment, or missed appointments without notice, may be subject to a fee.

Will everything I share in sessions stay private?

Absolutely. Everything discussed with a therapist at KLS Collective Group is held in complete confidence. We take privacy seriously and follow strict confidentiality standards in full compliance with HIPAA regulations.

What technology do I need to attend a therapy session?

For your sessions, you’ll only need a computer or tablet that has a working camera and microphone, along with a reliable internet connection.

Please note that in order to protect your privacy, we always use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.

Do I need a referral from my primary care doctor to start seeing a therapist?

This will depend on the CDPHP insurance plan you have. We suggest contacting CDPHP to find out if you need a referral to see a therapist.

How do I find out my deductible and whether it's been met?

To see if your deductible has been met, or to learn what your deductible amount is with your insurance plan, it’s best to contact CDPHP directly.

What CDPHP plans do you accept?

At KLS Collective, we accept all CDPHP plans. Feel free to contact your insurance provider directly if you have any specific questions about your plan, or you can contact us. Our team is always available to help.

Will you bill CDPHP directly, or do I pay and get reimbursed after my therapy sessions?

At KLS Collective, we’ll handle all the billing with CDPHP, and you won’t need to submit any claims. Some people do have a copay, and if that’s the case, we’ll bill you after each of your therapy sessions.
